Focus on the student

SDC places students in the geographical centre of Italy (Rieti is the so called “Umbilicus Italiae”, i.e. Italy’s belly). The courses have a humanistic and affectionate approach focused on the student’s learning process.

Contents

Contents and learning activities are selected bearing in mind expectations, motivations and learning needs indicated by each student. All these aspects are initially illustrated in the presentation to be filled in online, and then in the classroom during our first assessment made to establish your starting level.

Didactics

You will have a full immersion in the Italian language and communicate using realistic and common case examples.

Didactics is focused on formal correctness and use of proper language. Students are guided through every aspect of the language – lexicon, morphology, syntax, phonology and socio-pragmatics – in a stimulating and interactive environment.

Knowledge levels are established in line with the CEFR “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages”.

Didactic material

Apart from the material used and/or designed according to the student’s profile – knowledge, learning style and strategies – we also use new technologies. Every student has a tablet he/she can use during the lesson together with their books, also to make researches on the topics covered during the lessons.

Certifications

Students will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course stating the number of hours attended and the level achieved.
